Interview: PJ Haarsma
The author of The Softwire chats with IGN about his book, space exploration, and multiple dimensions.
by Steven Horn

October 4, 2006 - Can you name one decent young adult sci-fi book published in the last 5 years? 10 years? That gap in book publishing has a new contender in PJ Haarsma. Haarsma, a writer whose debut novel The Softwire: Virus on Orbis 1 (now available from Candlewick Press) took a break from the convention circuit to speak with IGN about his planned book series, the comprehensive and richly complex Rings of Orbis MMO website, even the role of sci-fi in young people's lives.

Once you are done checking out the article and getting to know PJ, we invite you to head on over to the Rings of Orbis game to check out what he's been up to. You'll find a massive world, ready for you to jump in, beautifully illustrated and conceptualized by talented artists such as Stephan Martiniere, Igor Knezevic, Dwayne Harris and Haarsma himself....
