oh I was a dedicated XF fan and I just bought myself a great Christmas prezzie--
the 9 season boxed set you also get fight the future-a poster-an episode guide-some art cards etc
all this for 125.00--wasn't that the original price for a season??
anyway watched the pilot tonight and watching some of the extra

Watched the movie via Netflix, and it was enjoyable ... but the magic's just not there for me anymore.

Agreed. The last movie, well, pretty much stunk.
The first was ok.
The series is where it's at, though. Esp seasons 3-5ish, though 1-2 are fine, too. After 6, it gets challenging to watch, though 6-7 have their outstanding eps. 8-9, for me, not so much, though the two episode character tribute to fanfiction great Leyla Harrison is still touching.
(For those who don't know, Leyla Harrison was a prominent early XF fanfic writer who died of cancer in her twenties while TXF was still on the air. The character from the episodes Alone and Scary Monsters who bears the name Agent Leyla Harrison is named so in her honor.)
