The Moons of the Rings of Orbis

Two enormous moons, Ki and Ta, create the natural Lagrange point for the Rings of Orbis. The mines on these moons are harvested for their lucrative minerals and energy crystals that are then sold to nearby planets (one energy crystal can power a small planet and costs 12 trilion chits).

Every seventy rotations the Trading Council digs out a core crystal from the center of Ki. The crystal is so profitable for the Citizens that they celebrate the event with the Festival of the Harvest.

The War of Ten Thousand Rotations was fought for the control of these moons as well as the Rings of Orbis. Although both the Citizens and the Keepers claim victory, they now share the profits from the moons and live side by side on Orbis.
